This is our fifth year of participating as a satellite donation site for the Valley Outreach Food Shelf during March Food Share Month. In these challenging economic times, many people have a hard time feeding their companion animals, and the Food Shelf distributes pet food as well as providing many services for Valley families.
The Valley Outreach Food Shelf's mission is to be "a bridge between the crisis of the moment and the solution of the future." (www.valleyoutreachmn.org) While respecting individual dignity, they serve the St. Croix Valley in needs of food, financial support, clothing, and emergency assistance. Last year, at Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo, we collected over 939 pounds of pet food. This generous gift helped many pets to remain with their owners during difficult financial times. We are thankful to live in a community that supports those who may have to surrender the treasured dog or cat members of their families, due to not having the necessary nutrition for them.
We will be collecting any brand or type of pet food, for any kind of pet (dogs, cats, birds, pocket pets, rabbits, rodents, reptiles). Your donation is welcome all during the month of March. Cedar Pet Clinic Lake Elmo is located on Highway 5, right across from Lake Elmo Elementary School. Drop off any time; we'll be happy to see you.
Thank you for your generosity.
